For the first quarter project, you will research some aspect of persecution that has existed in the past or still exists now. Then you will compile a short research paper on the subject chosen.
When writing the paper follow MLA format which includes:
Times New Roman, 12 point font
Black ink
Minimum three pages
Minimum of three sources
One book source
Minimum of three parenthetical citations
Works cited page
Topics:
Choose one character from the play The Crucible and research the person that character was based on. Show the differences and similarities between the historical character and the character from the play.
Research McCarthyism. Explain who, what, where, why and when.
Research a modern day witch hunt.
Research the persecution of the Puritans versus religious persecution today.
Research women’s roles in society during Puritan era.
Research and discuss witches on Long Island.
